Taylor signs free agent deal with Bucs
Former Clemson fullback and wide receiver Rendrick Taylor has signed a free agent contract with the Tampa Bay Bucs after being invited to try out with the team last week. The Bucs will reportedly work Taylor at fullback and tight end.
Taylor was never particularly productive during his time at Clemson, but most viewed him as a bona fide NFL prospect because of his build and relative athleticism. He had 54 catches for 533 yards and a touchdown and 15 rushes for 36 yards in five years at Clemson.
Taylor is the fifth undrafted Tiger to sign an NFL free agent deal this year. The others are tight end Michael Palmer (Atlanta Falcons), offensive guard Thomas Austin (Minnesota Vikings), cornerback Chris Chancellor (Cleveland Browns), and defensive end Kevin Alexander (Denver Broncos).
