As if Clemson's embarrassing loss at Boston College wasn't bad enough, starting running back Andre Ellington is out for at least two weeks with a ligament strain in his leg.

The Tigers seemingly don't have much motivation for the rest of the season, as they would have to win out and have Florida State, NC State, and Maryland each lose two more times to make it to the ACC Championship.

Jamie Harper will have to run more effectively than he has this season if the Tigers running game is still to be respected, and that will be tough because Clemson's passing game can't be respected either.

It may finally be time to go to Tajh Boyd at quarterback to get him some experience for next year. The offensive struggles aren't Parker's fault, but he isn't making enough plays to overcome the shortcomings that this offense has. If the NC State game gets out of hand, it's time for Boyd.

Dabo Swinney also said he would reopen the competition at kicker this week, with Richard Jackson getting first crack at the job. Chandler Catanzaro missed two critical kicks against Boston College and has not panned out like the coaching staff thought he would as the starter.
