Sophomore guard Donte Hill has decided to transfer from Clemson and pursue an opportunity at another division I school. Hill will finish the academic semester at Clemson.

Hill played in 23 games during his freshman year, averaging 5.1 minutes and 1.4 points per contest. He scored a career high 11 points in a win over College of Charleston. He also had eight assists and eight steals on the year.

Hill could never really get into the rotation last year under Oliver Purnell, but he could have given Clemson some backcourt depth in his sophomore season. I feel like he would have earned more minutes and gotten more of an opportunity to produce for the Tigers this year.
